Introduction
If you have forgotten your canvas password, this guide will show you how to reset it.
Go to the Canvas login page.
- Go to the Canvas login page.
- Type in your username and password, if you don’t remember either of them, click on Forgot Password and enter an email address associated with your account (the one that was used when you created it).
- Wait for an email from Canvas containing information about how to reset a forgotten password
Click on Forgot Password.
- Click on Forgot Password
- Enter your email address, username and SSC password
- Click on Send Code button to receive an email with a new password
Enter your SSC Email or Username
To reset your Canvas Password, you will need to enter the SSC (School Site Code) email address or username that you used when creating your account. If you can’t remember the SSC code, there are other ways to find this information:
- Visit [https://www.canvasnetwork.org]. Sign in using your username and password (the one found on the bottom right-hand corner). Click on “My Account” under “My Account Settings.” On this page, click on ‘Change Password’ under ‘Manage My Profile.’ The next page will prompt for an email address where Canvas will send notifications related to various features of their service—such as being alerted when someone views or comments on an article they’ve written or published through their platform.*
Wait for an email from canvas, and click the link in it.

- You will receive a reset password email that contains a link to change your password or create a new one if you don’t have one yet.
Reset your password.
If you’re not able to retrieve your password, then the best way to reset it is through the Canvas Fis Directory. This will allow you to reset your account’s password and make sure that you can access all of its features again.
To do this:
- Go to My Account in Canvas Fis Directory by clicking on the icon located at the top of every page.
- Click on “Reset Password” in order for us to send out a new one for you.
